Hello, I'm Jess

Photographer

I grew up with a camera in the house. My father was a wedding photographer — and I was often there beside him, watching him work, learning without knowing I was learning.

Years after he stopped, something pulled me back. I picked up a camera again, started practicing, finding my eye. A theatre company let me follow them. A few concerts. And on my own time — the street. Watching strangers, chasing light, collecting instants that belong to no one and everyone.

Slowly, a style emerged — quiet, instinctive, always looking for the moment nobody else caught.

Today I photograph people, spaces and moments — weddings, families, interiors, events. Always with the same approach : don't direct, don't pose, don't interrupt. Just be there, eyes open.

By day, I work as a communications manager — which means I don't just take pictures. I understand how images live in the world, how they tell stories beyond the frame. When you need more than photos — content, visual storytelling, communication tools around your shoot — I can help with that too.

This September, I'll be standing beside my father again — at a wedding, in the south of France. He'll shoot in colour. I'll shoot in black and white. Two eyes, two generations, one story.

Based in Belgium. Available wherever the story takes me.

My approach

I don't direct. I don't pose. I don't interrupt.

I show up, I observe, and I wait. For the unguarded moment, the stolen glance, the in-between breath that nobody planned. That's where the true images live — not in the perfect setup, but in what actually happens.

My approach is documentary at heart. Whether it's a wedding, a family afternoon or a corporate event — I move quietly through the scene, invisible when I need to be, present when it matters. What I give you in the end is not what you looked like. It's how it felt.
